2007 JAD District Contest We were excited about competing in the Johnny Appleseed District competitions in October 27, 2007, We competed for, and again won, the Small Chorus Plateau A Championship, which we have won in three previous competitions. Also we received a trophy for the most improved chorus.
1998 JAD District Contest On October 12, 1998, the Steel City Harmonizers competed in the JAD District Competition in Toledo, Ohio. Our contest package of "Looking at the World through Rose-Colored Glasses" and "The One Rose that Lives in My Heart" earned us a 4th place finish behind three talented choruses at least twice our size! This contest marked our second consecutive Plateau A Championship, along with the JAD Small Chorus Championship we won in April of 1998. Great things are happening at Metro! And what JAD contest would be complete without a Hospitality Suite? Metro hosted a room that was visited by almost every quartet that competed over the weekend (and even a few quartets that didn't compete! We had great fun into the wee hours of the morning, making music and enjoying wonderful food and drink. Here are a few pictures from the evening, compliments of Metro Secretary Bill Speedy: |
