HISTORY OF DÉJÀ VU Did
you ever have that feeling, when meeting someone new, that you have seen them
before? Did you ever sense that you
knew what you were going to hear, before anyone opened their mouth?
The situation known as déjà vu is defined as that uncanny
feeling or illusion of having already seen or experienced something that is
being experienced for the first time. One
of the regions newest quartets is going to cause many people to experience
the phenomenon! Déjà Vu was formed in June 2000 when three members of the retiring 1994 International Champion quartet Jokers Wild decided to continue singing together. A regular substitute for Jokers Wild, Dave Meyer agreed to join Steve, Jon and Dave to complete the new ensemble. Given the striking similarity of the new quartet to the prior one, these guys selected the name Déjà Vu and promptly journeyed to New Zealand to fulfill a Jokers Wild commitment! Bios of the individual members can be found here. If
you are unable to make a nearby performance or just cant wait for Déjà
Vus first recording, how about some Jokers Wild to tide you over?
With a Jokers Wild recording you get two, or depending on the album
three, members of Déjà Vu cranking out some pretty wonderful singing.
