Annual Chorus Show OCTOBER
23, 2009 - Pittsburgh Metro's successful quality Fall Show was performed at the
Hillman Center for Performong Arts in Fox Chapel. The various singing groups and the venue

Since 1998, Pittsburgh Metro has held its annual show at the newly-restored Byham
Theatre in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. Metro chapter quartets and outstanding guest quartets
have shared the stage with the Steel City Harmonizers chorus, allowing SWPA to hear some
truly wonderful barbershop music. More recently annual shows were held at the Franklin
Regional High School in Monroeville in two consective years, then at the Upper St. Clair
High School auditorium, and in 2007 we performed in the Kean Theater in Gibsonia.

Other Performances
In addition to our Annual Chorus Show, The Steel City Harmonizers have sung regularly
throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area. Whether with the entire chorus, a chapter quartet,
or a VLQ (Very Large Quartet), we've provided entertainment for public gatherings as well
as private parties, such as:
- Variety - The Childrens' Charity, in the Pittsburgh Strip District
- The Fellows Club, in Upper St. Clair
- Westmoreland County Cancer Survivors Society, in Greensburg

- November 15, 2003 - Boyce Campus - High School Harmony Festival
- November 22, 2003 - Cloverleaf Estates, Delmont, PA
- December 31, 2003 - First Night Celebration, Downtown Pittsburgh
- May 5, 2007 - 2007 Show at Upper St Clair High School
- October 27, 2007- We competed in the Johnny Appleseed District
competitions for the Plateau A (Small Chorus) award and were rated best small chorus. And
we also were awarded the Most Improved Chorus (all sizes) in the competition. A very
satisfying result.
- November 16, 2007 Participated in "Pittsburgh Light Up Night"
- December 15, 2007 "Holiday Harmony Dinner Show" with Chapter and winning
Regional high school quartets, plus Double Shot
- February 14, 2008 Three quartets sang to 44 appreciative valentines in
and around Pittsburgh
- May 11, 2008 - Mother's Day, Quartets sang salutes to Mothers.
- July 5, 2008 - A VLQ (Very Large Quartet, more than four members) performed at Kennywood
as the MetaPhors.
